  • Bike or e-bike to use during deliveries
  • Valid state I.D. or driver’s license
  • Smartphone with a data plan
For more information on what you need to get started, please visit our Help Center.
Follow the e-bike safety tips below for proper handling:
  • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for charging your e-bike battery. Only use the original equipment provided, plug directly into a wall outlet, and do not attempt to modify or repair the battery on your own.
  • Never leave an e-bike battery charging unattended overnight. Always store at room temperature in well ventilated areas, and handle your e-bike battery with care.
  • Make sure you know the e-bike laws in your city. Ride with the flow of traffic, yield to pedestrians, and do not use the sidewalk.
For more information on e-bike safety and proper storage, please visit our Help Center and the NYC Department of Transportation.
If you are a delivery partner in New York City, you can take advantage of e-bike benefits by signing up on the individual partner web pages and following their processes to secure your new e-bike with a discount!
Lithium-ion batteries store a large amount of energy and must be cared for properly. To protect yourself and others:
  • Use only certified batteries and chargers – Only use devices certified by a reputable agency, such as UL. Use the charger that was made specifically for your device.
  • Use the wall outlet – Always plug directly into a wall electrical outlet for charging, and don’t plug more than one device at a time into a single charger or outlet.
  • Store in open space – Batteries should be stored away from anything flammable.
  • Keep away from heat – Keep batteries and devices at room temperature.
  • Dispose of batteries safely Don’t place lithium-ion batteries in a trash or recycling bin, but rather bring them to a NYC battery recycling center.
